The Ribes/Nedelec Team, at the Institut Jacques Monod in Paris, is seeking a motivated, independent postdoctoral researcher to study lineage progression and mechanisms guiding neural diversification during human nervous system development. The project will leverage organoid models developed by our lab (Gribaudo et al, Nature biotechnology, 2024, Maury et al, Nature biotechnology, 2015; Mouilleau et al, Development, 2021; Duval et al, Development, 2019) and embryonic tissues coupled to bulk and single-cell omics data to explore how signaling pathways control genetic networks underlying cell fate decisions and the evolution of neuronal diversity in the human hindbrain and spinal cord. Expected profile: Strong interest in developmental biology Demonstrated experience in single-cell RNA seq with downstream bioinformatic analyses. Experience with epigenomic/transcriptomic approaches (In particular, ChIP- and ATAC-seq ) would be a clear asset Experience with iPSC culture and differentiation will be valued but is not mandatory. Direct technical support for cell culture including organoid differentiation is available. A competitive track record of publications Ability to work autonomously and in collaboration, excellent team spirit Good communication skills, fluency in spoken and written English.
